Butter Candle Recipe

Description

This butter candle is a super fun and impressive appetizer for your next get together.

Equipment

Non-stick muffin tin or baking sheet

Ingredients
  

  • 1 head roasted garlic
  • 1 cup salted butter at room temperature
  • 1 loaf crusty bread

Instructions

  • Add the butter to the base of a blender and squeeze in the roasted garlic. Blend until smooth and thoroughly combined.
  • Pierce a hole in the bottom of a plastic cup (like a Solo cup) and stick the wick through so that at least 1 inch is visible outside of the cup. Pour in the butter mixture then transfer to the fridge until set.
  • Cut a hole, a little wider than a plastic cup into the top of your loaf for the butter candle to sit. You don’t want it to be too deep!
  • Remove the cup from around the butter candle, place the candle in the center of the loaf, cut down the wick to about ½ inch, then light and let the butter melt!
  • Once the butter has started to melt, rip off pieces of the loaf and dip in the butter. Enjoy!
