Our final cheese and honey pairing with Bee Seasonal Honey. The Marmeleiro honey is the “all-rounder” of the set. It’s also happens to be my favorite varietal. It is fairly mild and pairs well with a variety of cheeses.
This one is the sweetest of the set with tropical fruity notes. As a result, it’s best paired with more mild, soft cheeses like Brie or Camembert & Havarti.
It’s week 3 in our cheese & honey series with Bee Seasonal Honey and today I’m making a board with their Brazilian Wildflower Honey: Silvestre! This is the most floral & aromatic of the set.
If there’s one question I’ve been getting a lot lately, it’s “what do you actually do with that honey on the board?” I’ve always been a fan of complimenting the saltiness of cheese with the sweetness of honey, BUT the more I got that question, the more I realized we needed a little Honey 101!
The best way to get to know your cheeses & meats is by sampling many of them. While my boards are usually filled to the brim with no spaces, I made this one with thoughtful cheese tasting in mind.
