Chicken Lettuce Wraps Recipe

Lettuce wraps are a super delicious and light way to enjoy all your favorite fillings. Whether it’s taco fillings, sandwich fixin’s, or Asian-inspired stir-frys, lettuce is a deliciously crisp and fresh vehicle that works well with every flavor! These lettuce wraps are a copycat recipe of the internet’s favorite P.F. Chang’s dish: Chicken Lettuce Wraps.

The best part about lettuce wraps is that they’re great for a party–all you have to do is set out the fillings, toppings, and lettuce and let your guests customize their wraps. Lettuce Wraps Recipe

  • Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned, 5-8 minutes. Transfer the mushrooms to a plate.
  • If the pan seems dry, add another drizzle of oil. Add the chicken and cook, breaking up into pieces, until browned and cooked through, about 5-8 minutes. Add the chili sauce and soy sauce and cook, stirring, until thoroughly combined, 2-3 minutes more.
  • Add the chicken to one side of a large serving platter. To the other side of the platter, add the mushrooms, water chestnuts, carrots, cabbage, and noodles in separate sections (it’s ok if they mingle a little!).
  • Add the butter lettuce to the edge of the platter around the chicken filling and serve!

Sauce for Lettuce Wraps

In the filling we use salty soy sauce and spicy, tangy sweet Thai chili sauce to add some delicious depth of flavor to the chicken. If you’re like me and you love sauce, feel free to put some of these on the side for drizzling!

  • Gochujang hot sauce
  • Sriracha mayo
  • Hoisin sauce
  • Chili crisp
  • More sweet Thai chili sauce!
