pull apart garlic bread

Ever get invited to a party and have no idea what to bring? Well, here’s the solution! This shockingly simple, uber delicious pull apart bread is cheesy, garlicky, and perfect for sharing. For this recipe I use Challenge Butter’s Garlic Parmesan with Herbs Snack Spread, but you can also use regular butter and season it with garlic powder, grated parm, and your favorite Italian seasonings (like dried oregano and chili pepper flakes, if you like things spicy).

What You’ll Need

  • 1 crusty loaf (I like sourdough!)
  • 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 8-10 tbsp Garlic, Parmesan & Herb Snack Spread
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp sliced green onions

How to Make Pull Apart Bread

  • Preheat the oven to 350F and bring the butter to room temperature.
  • Cut the bread on a diagonal, then cut again to create 1″ diamonds, but make sure not to cut all the way through.
  • Use your fingers or a butter knife to pry open the cuts and spread on the butter and stuff with mozzarella. Brush surface with remaining butter (if you’re having trouble brushing on the softened butter, melt it!).
  • Wrap the bread with foil and bake until the cheese has mostly melted, 20 minutes. Then unwrap and bake until crust is browned and  toasted, 5-10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley and green onions. Best served warm!

Pro tip: save some of the butter spread to melt and drizzle over the top!
