mexican charcuterie board

If there’s one board that’s always a hit with my friends, it’s my Mexican-inspired charcuterie board. Pair chips, salsa, carne asada and my deliciously simple margarita and you have yourself the perfect meal for Cinco de Mayo, Taco Tuesday or girls night in! I highly recommend you grab some LA VICTORIA® salsas and add this delicious spread to your agenda!

I love exploring the world through cuisine, so also checkout my International boards: French Cheese Board, Italian Antipasti Platter, Caprese Skewer Board, Very English Cheese Board, Quesadilla Toppings Bar, Fish Taco Board, Taco Bar Party, and Mediterranean Mezze Board.

What’s On This Mexican Themed Board?

There’s no denying that this platter would be lackluster without the star of the show: THE SALSA! I grabbed two of my favorites: LA VICTORIA® Thick ’n Chunky Salsa & LA VICTORIA® Thick ’n Chunky Salsa Verde, plus their Fire Roasted Diced Green Chiles for garnish.

The LA VICTORIA® products are super versatile with endless options. Use their variety of salsas and sauces to create traditional Mexican dishes OR to inspire new and unexpected flavor fusions in your favorite dishes and everyday snacks. They’re also made with real, simple ingredients, which is a huge plus in my book.

How To Build This Salsa Board

  • Start with the center of your board and work your way outward, anchoring the middle with a variety of salsas and dips, like LA VICTORIA® Thick ’n Chunky Salsa and LA VICTORIA® Thick ’n Chunky Salsa Verde— both are must-haves!
  • Elevate dips with a touch of heat. Pro tip: sprinkle cheese dip with fire-roasted, diced green chiles and take guacamole to the next level with a few dashes of LA VICTORIA® Chunky Jalapeño Hot Sauce.
  • To add depth, surround your bowls with authentic Mexican tortilla chips and a selection of folded and rolled tortillas.
  • Replace traditional salami and cheeses for chorizo, carne asada and pepper jack cheese.
  • Similarly, switch out your go-to charcuterie board nut options for chili-lime peanuts, for an added kick and delicious texture.
  • Add pops of color and extra crunch with baby bell peppers, pickled carrots, radishes, and sliced jicama.
  • Finally, garnish with Mexican classics like cilantro, Cotija cheese crumbles, chili lime seasoning, jalapeños and green onions.
