Upgrade your champagne this new year’s eve by turning it into a champagne cocktail using Amazon ice molds! 2024 is a great excuse to try something new, especially when it’s this delicious–and easy! All you have to do is make adorable juicy ice cubes and drop them into your glass of bubbly. The Orange Juice Cubes (see below) are also a perfect mimosa alternative for New Year’s Day brunch. The best part is that you don’t have to man the bar. Make a tray (or three!) and throw them in the freezer so guests can make champagne cocktails whenever they need a refill.

Amazon Ice Molds

You know I have a thing for Amazon finds! My favorite, as of late, have been festive ice molds. You probably saw these cute xmas tree molds I used for this vodka cranberry christmas cocktail.  Well, it inspired me to make a fun New Year’s Eve drink with these star shaped ice trays and snowflake shaped ice trays. These cubes are considerably smaller than the trees, so you may want to grab a few so you have plenty of ice cubes at the ready. If you’re looking for bigger snowflake ice cubes, give these a try–just make sure they fit in your flute.

I also love the idea of using diamond ice cube molds for NYE. And how cute would these rose ice cubes be for a Valentine’s Day Cocktail? (Stay tuned for v-day cubes with edible flowers inside!)

Directions

  • Pour orange juice or cranberry juice into winter-themed ice trays (i.e star shaped or snowflake shaped). For the orange juice, sprinkle in a pinch of orange zest if using, and for the cranberry juice, drop in a few pomegranate seeds, if using, into each ice well.
  • Pour champagne into your champagne flute or coupe glass, then add a shot of vodka if using. Drop in 2 to 3 cubes of your choosing (mix them for some extra flavor!), and serve.

Pro tip: Make the cubes on a tray or baking sheet so they can easily be transported to the freezer and there is less sticky mess to clean up!
